About Us

Our Story

Never Flinch, the Foundation is a tribute to the remarkable journey of Weston L. Johnson, who, despite facing unexpected challenges, embodied resilience and strength. Weston L. Johnson was born in 1987 to Blane and Jill Johnson in Lakin, KS. When he was three, they moved to Great Bend, KS and at eight years old, moved to Wray, CO. Weston discovered a malignant mole at the base of his neck at the age of 17, defying the absence of Melanoma history in his family.

Fueled by this experience, Weston transformed his lifestyle, prioritizing health and undergoing routine exams. Rising above adversity, he excelled in athletics, achieving All-State honors in High School and playing Division I football at the University of Wyoming. A dedicated student and athlete, Weston's accomplishments continued, even securing a Free Agent Contract with the Atlanta Falcons before turning 23.

Weston's life took an unexpected turn shortly before his 26th birthday, with a Stage Four Metastatic Melanoma diagnosis. The term "Never Flinch," originally shared on the football field, gained profound significance as Weston faced this formidable battle.

Out of this adversity, Never Flinch was born—an initiative that started as a Facebook page to emotionally and financially support Weston and his family during exhaustive treatments. Weston's journey, marked by Craniotomies, surgeries, and unwavering strength, inspired those around him. He fought valiantly, leaving a legacy of courage and determination.

In gratitude for the overwhelming support received during Weston's battle, the Johnson Family established Never Flinch, the Foundation. This 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization is dedicated to giving back to individuals currently battling cancer. The foundation's mission is to raise funds to alleviate out-of-pocket expenses related to treatment, including travel and lodging. Through their vision, Never Flinch aims to be a beacon of support, offering financial relief to those navigating the challenges of cancer treatment.
